MISSION 288 - COFFS HARBOUR / SYDNEY & BANKSTOWN / COFFS HARBOUR

Fourteen years old, Daniel Jeffcoat needed to go to the Royal Far West in Sydney for assessment and treatment of a moderate disability and hyperactivity.

In the past, he and his mother, Denise had travelled by train, which is a ten hour journey. However, this takes a lot out of Denise, as Daniel is difficult for her to control for such a long period of time.

Graham with Denise and Daniel who were heading to Coffs Harbour, and Scott Secombe (far right) who was on his way to Coonamble.

"Although the weather was very hot and a little rough at times all went smoothly.

We departed Bankstown at 11:40am only ten minutes late, and arrived at Coonamble 1:45pm 15 minutes late, temperature 38c (see M307).

Departed Coonamble 2:45pm arrived Coffs Harbour 5:15pm. Daniel and Denise were okay, even though we had many thunderstorms on the way between Coonamble and Coffs Harbour. We were mostly VFR (Visual Flight Rules)."
