12 year old Shannon has been travelling to the Royal Far West Children's Health Scheme regularly since 1997 to receive ongoing specialist medical care. He has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Defiance Disorder and learning difficulties. The long trips to Sydney from Inverell have caused the family both emotional and financial strain. While in Sydney Shannon will have several check ups with his doctors at the Royal Far West.
