An update on Aden's progress (13 April 2006)

"Just touching base and saying hello to you all. Aden is doing well and enjoying everything life has to offer. He is about to start Auskick (Assie Rules football) and looking forward to getting physical.

You are probably wondering why we have not been in contact. I have received a promotion at work, bought a new car and am driving Aden down to Melb for his treatment. This works well as I only have to have a day off work.

I heard from friends this morning, Angel Flight and Aden was mentioned on our local FM radio station 105.7 The River (Albury). .... thought you may be interested that Angel Flight was mentioned in detail.

A big hello to you all and keep up the fantastic work that you do. You have surely made a difference to us,

Regards

Faye D'Helin"

"Young Aden had his arm in a sling supporting his fractured collarbone which he suffered in a fall from a flying fox. Its great to see these kids still manage to get have fun like all kids his age despite his serious illness. The collarbone didn't seem to be worrying him and his Mum said she cried when she heard about it, a cry of joy that he was doing normal things for a boy his age."

"Smooth, easy flight. All arrangements worked perfectly. It was extremely satisfying to see the vast improvement in Aden's health. He had been quite unwell when I transported him and his mother earlier in the year."
