INITIAL TRIP REQUEST

11 year old Luke from Tamworth had a brain tumour removed in 2004 and a second tumour removed in July 2006. Another suspected tumour has been diagnosed and he requires a subsequent MRI, Cat Scan and blood test in Westmead Children's Hospital Sydney.

This Angel Flight is to aleviate the family of the 4 hour trip to Sydney by car.

"The fuel used for this mission is higher due to incredible delays on departure and arrival at Bankstown due to traffic out of Sydney (dep) and weather/storms (arr) as well as 4 major diversions around severe thunderstorm activity across our track on the way back. We were sharing the zig-zagging with Dash 8's and B737's, so we didn't feel alone!! All passengers were none the wiser and all went extremely well given the weather conditions.
