Comment by Barry

"Our departure at 6.00am from Archerfield was with a spectacular sunrise.

Early morning departure out of Archerfield

The flight was at 6000ft and the winds were forecasted to be 320/15kts.
As shown on the attached pictures of our GPS the headwind was acutually 50kts giving us a ground speed of 112kts ( usually 165kts) to Oakey.

GPS ground speed of 112kts with 50kt headwind to Oakey

Our passengers arrived and after kisses and cuddles we were on our merry way with the cloud and weather coming in fast.
IFR back to Archerfield with a 50kt tailwind and Ground speed of 212kts which made us very early and made up for the longer than expected flight out to Chinchilla.
