SUBSEQUENT TRIP REQUEST: 3rd and 4th flights.

Two year old Matilda from Robinvale near Swan Hill needed to undergo a pre-operative assessment for a Cochlear Implant.

Due to financial hardship and the distance to Melbourne the family would not have been able to continue this process without assistance from Angel Flight.

"An early morning departure from Essendon saw Mike arrive in "Oscar" around 8:20 am at Robinvale after experiencing a serene flight in clear blue skies with a mix of both tail and head winds over the 1.5 hour flight to pick up our Angel Flighters; two year old Matilda , mum Tania and grandmum Jan for the flight to Melbourne. Matilda had an 11:00 am appointment at the Royal Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne attending the hospital for her 2 week check up on her new cochlear implant to aid her hearing development.

The return flight was equally as enjoyable as the day really warmed up with visibility for many, many miles and our passengers observing the mingling the burnt brown earth below and the blue hue above as they spotted various towns along our track. We were directly ushered back to our departing airport Essendon by exceptionally friendly and very cooperative Air Traffic Controllers.

A safe arrival in very sunny Melbourne and then it was off to the hospital for that all important check up, after which our Earth Angel and AF2 will whisk them back home later this afternoon.

From my perspective there is no more enjoyable flying than participating in an Angel Flight, for me its the ultimate flying with a purpose; so Angel Flight team, well done in giving me and "Oscar" the opportunity to be of service again. Cheers."
