flight 1 by Gary Weeks Comment by Gary "Well it was an early start for me this morning but well worth the early get up as it was another great day to go flying.
My flight north was at 10,000ft and once I had popped out the top of cloud at about 6500ft during the climb, it was a lovely smooth ride with the sun rising over my right shoulder.
The cloud cover dissipated about 25 miles to the north of Scone with Tamworth easily visible from top of descent. I arrived into Tamworth just a few minutes before 7.00am and waited about 10 minutes for my passengers to arrive.
After meeting John and Sam and having a brief chat I snapped a couple of photos and got underway again. We were airborne out of Tamworth again by 7.20am arriving into Bankstown at 8.30am to be met by Geoff Hobbs our Earth Angel for the flight.
The flight south to Bankstown at 9000ft was once again as smooth as silk sitting above a layer of cloud below with the only bumps being a couple of little niggles from about 6000ft and below during our descent.
I couldn’t interest either of my passengers in a cuppa or any refreshments this morning but still enjoyed one myself as we sat and watched the world go by.
Another enjoyable day out, thanks for the opportunity." |
