MISSION 339 - DENILIQUIN / ESSENDON / DENILIQUIN

SUBSEQUENT TRIP REQUEST (20th & 21st Angel Flights)

Six year old Ford Te Nahu from Deniliquin was diagnosed with acute Leukaemia in August of last year and needs to travel to the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne to undergo chemotherapy on a regular basis. The family faces regular, long stays in Melbourne so Ford can receive the necessary treatment. Without a car, and with limited finances, frequent travel proved difficult. It was time for another trip to Melbourne for chemotherapy.

Comment by Jock

"The pickup of Ford and his mother at Deniliquin was effected on time with a smooth flight above the weather to Essendon. Ford sat in the front for the return flight and left his mother to relax in the back. He really enjoyed some hands-on time, even with the autopilot selected.

The satisfaction and pleasure gained by myself in being able to help and by seeing the enjoyment on Ford's face, even after a long and strenuous day, can only be understood by being there."
