"The Flight to pick up Rosie was magical with no turbulence, a tail wind and travelling along in KDF at 185 kts. Rosie was the perfect passenger, on time, light weight and not a lot of luggage. She met us with a wide smile to brighten up our day. The flight back was a little slower with head wind and yes the turbulence was just starting but did not seem to bother Rosie. Our Trusty Earth Angel Natasha Musch who has helped with many of our flights previously was happily awaiting us at the airport. After a little bit of girls talk, at the airport and Rosie was on her way to her next appointment. Cheryl Arentz "

"Good flight ,the passenger was a treaure to fly.

The Flight for Rosie went well and Rosie is back home
.
We were airborne at 5 minutes past 3 and had a relatively smooth flight one we cleared the ranges. The Gliders were active but we landed on time at 3.50 pm, a good tail wind helped here.

A quick visit to release excess fluid then a quick snap and we cranked the lycoming to begin a much rougher trip home at three and a half thousand feet battling the head wind which reduced our ground speed to 85 knots. We finally arrived back at just about 10 minutes past our sar time of 5pm.

Rosie travelled well but she naturally was not in the peak of condition after her treatment which she tells me was completely unexpected.

Had a quick chat to the Earth Angel Steve whilst we were waiting to depart, it is good to see the complete picture of an operation and to meet the others who are involved in this very important scheme.

Thanks for the opportunity to participate , Kind thougths Ron "

"I arrived at the Hospital Main Entrance at about 2.15pm. Rosalie was ready so we set off. Even from some distance Rosalie knew I was her driver from the Angel Flight lanyard hanging around my neck. I tried to ring Ron Letheren, but, as I later realised, he was still in the air approaching the airport. Half way along the drive I rang again and got Ron's partner, although she could hardly hear me as they were taxiing to the terminal. She managed to hear enough to figure out our progress towards the airport.

When Rosalie and I arrived at the terminal a little after 2.45pm Ron had submitted his flight plan for a 3.00pm departure. After a few quick words and these quick photos, they all set off. Air Traffic Control gave them priority and they were well and truly airbourne by 3.00pm. Ron said there was a tail wind and he expected a quick flight.

Ron told me that on his flight to pick up Rosie, as soon as he mentioned to ATC that he was flying an Angel Flight they really looked after him.

Regards

Steve Hogan"
