SUBSEQUENT TRIP REQUEST: 4th and 5th flights.

Two year old Darcy from Tamworth was born with severe Arthrogryposis (very limited movement in all his joints and muscle weakness). Due to the severity of his condition his lungs are also affected and he currently requires a trache tube to assist with breathing.

This Angel Flight was to take Darcy and his mum Simone to Sydney for reviews.

JET POWERED ANGEL TO THE RESCUE

A rare event in the history of Angel Flight missions occurred on Sunday 23rd September 2007 with Angel Flight Volunteer Pilot, Doctor Sandra McRae (Dr Sandra Cabot, author of the famous “The Liver Cleansing Diet”) combining three separate missions in her Citation Bravo Jet to assist needy patients from regional NSW reach their vital appointments with specialists in Sydney.

Flying her Citation Jet, Sandra left from her home port of Bankstown at 07:15 am heading to Inverell first where she collected 7 year old Calam Jeffery and his mum Donna. Next it was off to nearby Armidale to pick up Sarah Walker and her 20 month old daughter Lotus and finally down to Tamworth where Simone Almond and her little 3 year old son Darcy were eagerly waiting for them.

Arriving back at Bankstown at approximately 11:00 am, Sandra’s precious cargo was met by Earth Angel Volunteers Liz Hope and Neville Rumsey for transfer to their respective hospitals ready for their crucial appointments.
