INITIAL TRIP REQUEST

Ninety-year old Joyce from Moruya has glaucoma and macular degeneration. She needed to attend an appointment at the Canberra Eye Hospital.

Angel Flight took her to Canberra as she is very frail, and a car journey would have been too tiring.

"This was the first flight for Joyce Royall, a delightful 90 year old lady who is nearly blind and required eye surgery.

She thoroughly enjoyed the flight which saved her about 5 hours of tedious car travel over the mountain ranges between Canberra and Moruya. Joyce stated that Angel Flight now makes her treatments bearable and is looking forward to hopefully regaining some of her sight.

We had a great flight despite a bit of turbulence and both Joyce and Marion thoroughly enjoyed the experience."
