INITIAL TRIP REQUEST

Seven year old Madeline from Quirindi has been diagnosed with Hirschsprungs disease which affects the intestines.

This Angel flight took her to the Childrens Hospital in Sydney for treatment, as the distance and financial strain on the family was causing difficulty.

"It's a small world. While talking to Madeline's grandfather during the boarding process I found out that his father had worked for my father on Wilgabar during the earlier years (late 1930's-early 1940's). Just one of these little things that brightens your day when flying these missions.

Fortunately away to an early start on this flight for a smooth ride into Bankstown, however the same was not the case for my return to Grenfell. Very savage weather over the mountains to the west but clear and slow. Another rewarding trip."
