NSW was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bones). Mission 2328 -Stawell/Moorabbin/Stawell Initial Trip Request Forty-six year old Jenny from Stawell has chronic and severe muscular and skeletal pain and struggles to travel long distances. This Angel flight took her to Melbourne for extensive dental work due to an infected tooth. Mission 2327 - Theodore/Archerfield/Brisbane/Theodore Initial Trip Request Seventy-two year old Edward from Theodore has Chronic Lymphcytic Leukaemia. This Angel flight was to take him to Brisbane for ongoing treatment for this condition. Mission 2324 - Cobar/Bankstown/Cobar Subsequent Trip Request: 4th and 5th Angel Flight Grace is a six year old girl from Cobar who was involved in a serious quad bike accident in May 07. Grace sustained multiple facial fractures which required plastic surgery. This Angel flight was to take Grace back to Sydney Children's Hospital for follow up clinic appointments. Mission 2313 - Chinchilla/Archerfield/Chinchilla Subsequent Trip Request: 310th and 311th Angel Flight Sixteen year old Kayla from Chinchilla
had a failed kidney transplant and is now back on home dialysis.
However she still needs to receive medical treatment at the PA Hospital's
Dialysis Unit (Brisbane) three times per week. Mission 2310 - Bankstown/Cootamundra Subsequent Trip Request: 16th Angel Flight Roslyn from Cootamundra needed to attend the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney for chemotherapy treatment which leaves her feeling unwell afterwards. The journey is a tiring 5 hour drive by car. This Angel flight assisted in reducing the stress of the journey for her. Mission 2305 - Griffith/Bankstown/Griffith Subsequent Trip Request: 21st and 22nd Angel Flight Seven month old Brandan from Whitton
(near Griffith) has been diganosed with being profoundly deaf. He
has had cochlear implant surgery in February this year. This is
the second child from this family to have a cochlear implant. Mission 2304 - Yowah/Archerfield/Redcliffe/Yowah Subsequent Trip Request: 13th and 14th Angel Flight Sixty-six year old Rodney from Yowah has cancer of the face. This Angel Flight allowed him to attend post surgery and post radiation therapy appointments. Mission 2303 - Hay/Bankstown/Hay Initial Trip Request New born Kristian has been diagnosed with having severe/profound hearing loss. He is required to regularly attend appointments in Sydney to start an early intervention program. Mission 2300 - Hamilton/Moorabbin/Hamilton Subsequent Trip Request: 3rd and 4th Angel Flight Forty-three year old Danielle was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. This Angel flight was for one of her appointments at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne for further testing, as she was unable to travel by road. Mission 2296 - Childers/Archerfield/Childers Initial Trip Request Fifty-seven year old Jane from Childers has an appointment in Brisbane for cancer treatment. Angel Flight took her on this trip as transport by car or train is unsuitable due to her condition. Mission 2293 - Corryong/Moorabbin/Essendon/Corryong Initial Trip Request Ashton is a one year old boy with
Bilateral Talapies (Club Feet). He needed to attend the Royal Childrens
Hospital in Melbourne. Mission 2288 - Wellington/Bathurst/Bankstown/Wellington Subsequent Trip Request: 2nd and 3rd Angel Flight Four year old Cooper from Wellington has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. This Angel flight was to attend follow up appointments at the Childrens Hospital Westmead with an oncologist, to have an MRI and to see a specialist at the eye clinic. requires continuous appointments at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital

to attend follow up appointments in Brisbane for his uncontrolled
Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy. Mission 2276 - Coffs Harbour/Bankstown Initial Trip Request Young Christopher from Boneville near Coffs Harbour has severe Cerebral Palsy and needs to have hip surgery at the Sydney Childrens Hospital. Due to the distance and financial difficulty, this Angel Flight assisted the family to attend hospital for this surgery. The return to Coffs Harbour after surgery was undertaken by hospital transfer in an Air Ambulance. is currently in remission from Hodgkins disease. Mission 2273 - Moree/Bankstown/Moree Subsequent Trip Request: 3rd and 4th Angel Flight Three year old Elizabeth from Moree has Cerebral Palsy and required transport to the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick for medical and therapy appointments. suffers from Hirschsprunge disease and is required at RCH for a
medical procedure. He is the second child with this disorder and
over the past 5 years the family have to make regular trips to Sydney

This Angel Flight was to take her to Brisbane for various doctors appointments and examinations. Mission 2237 - Maryborough/Archerfield/Maryborough Initial Trip Request Gail needed to attend a specialist pain clinic at the RBWH for consultation and possible admission for surgery. Due to the nature of her condition, Angel Flight took her on this trip to save her a long uncomfortable trip by road. This Angel Flight was for one of her appointments at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne for further testing, as she was unable to travel by road. Mission 2231 - Bankstown/Dubbo/Sydney Initial Trip Request Seventy-seven year old Anni was diagnosed with breast cancer and was receiving treatment in Sydney. This Angel Flight was to assist her as she had numerous other disorders and was finding it difficult to cope being away from home. Mission 2226 - Bankstown/Dubbo/Sydney Initial Trip Request Thirty-seven year old Georgina was diagnosed with a melanoma in 2006 which recurred in 2007. She has been in and out of hospital since Feb, with the shortest stay being 4 weeks. She is currently in Sydney having radio therapy which will continue for another 6 weeks. She is a full time carer of her mother and has a 9 year old son with behavioural difficulties. This Angel Flight was to return her home to see her family, as they were finding it extremely difficult to cope. Mission 2221 - Bankstown/Brewarrina/Bankstown Subsequent Trip Request: 4th and 5th Angel Flight Thirty-five year old Rowly is a father of 8 and was diagnosed with advanced rectal cancer and is required to undergo 6 weeks of chemo and radiation therapy in Sydney. Mission 2219 - Jandakot/Albany/Jandakot Initial Trip Request Forty year old Michael who was currently residing in Albany, had terminal end stage liver failure. He had not seen his children for some time and due to his illness he was not able to travel to Perth to see them. This Angel Flight was for his two teenage sons Wade and Mitchell to see their father one last time. Mission 2216 - Mildura/Essendon/Melbourne/Mildura Subsequent Trip Request: 28th and 29th Angel Flight Ron from Red Cliffs has Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. In March he underwent a Bone Marrow Transplant and has been recovering ever since. This Angel Flight is for more follow up tests in Melbourne. Mission 2213 - Wellington/Bankstown/Wellington Ssubsequent Trip Request: 11th and 12th Angel Flight Two and a half year old Thomas from Wellington had a kidney transplant at the end of July. This Angel Flight was for one of his 3 times a week follow up appointments in Sydney to check the kidney function. Mission 2212 - Coffs Harbour/Maitland/Coffs Harbour Subsequent Trip Request: 7th and 8th Angel Flight Three year old Poppy from Coffs Harbour has Ataxia, a progressive uncoordinated mobility and movement disorder. Her symptoms are more severe after long journeys, such as in a car. Mission 2209 - Tambo/Toowoomba/Tambo Subsequent Trip Request: 15th and 16th Angel Flight Forty-six year old Wendy from Tambo needs to attend Toowoomba Hospital for Chemotherapy every 3 weeks. Mission 2207 - Coffs Harbour/Bankstown/Coffs Harbour Subsequent Trip Request: 13th and 14th Angel Flight Nine month old Jemimah from Coffs Harbour has a severe brittle bone disease (osteogenesis imperfecta). The family are dedicated to her care and will regularly require trips to Sydney for her treatment. Mission 2206 - Wagga Wagga/Bankstown/Wagga Wagga Initial Trip Request Baby girl Sarita is a long term inpatient at Sydney Children's Hospital, and was required to stay for another 4-5 months for immunodeficiency treatment. Her Mother is constantly by her side in Sydney. This is a compassionate flight for her Father Jason and sister Mia who live in Wagga Wagga to come visit. Mission 2197 - Coolah/Bankstown/Coolah Subsequent Trip Request: 2nd and 3rd Angel Flight Two month old Charles was born with Congenital disorders including Amniotic Banding, missing digits and club feet. This Angel Flight was to transport him to Sydney Children's Hospital for one of his weekly visits for specialist consultation. Finances are difficult for the family and this Angel Flight helped them during this difficult time. He has previously had open heart surgery and requires ongoing appointments at the Royal Far West Health Scheme in Sydney. This causes muscle weakness and fatigue in the patient making a long road journey arduous and uncomfortable. He has had some recovery time at home and needed a bone marrow transplant back in Melbourne. Mission 2068- Thargomindah/Archerfield/Thargomindah Subsequent Trip Request: 5th and 6th Angel Flight Six year old Broodie from Thargomindah had severe skin lesions to the head/face/shoulder/chest region. There was also other disabilities. This Angel Flight was for one of his specialist appointments at the Royal Childrens Hospital to assess his condition. This Angel Flight was for her to attend specialist appointments in Melbourne. Mission 2053- Mildura/Adelaide/Mildura Initial Trip Request Eight year old Bianca from Mildura required an urgent review by a specialist in Adelaide due to deterioration in her foot and ankle resulting in problems with her AFO (Ankle Foot Othoses).
