Angel Flight Australia has received a wonderful $20,000 donation from Freemasons SA & NT Parndana Lodge 206, helping us continue connecting Kangaroo Island residents and visiting health professionals with essential medical care.
The generous donation will support our flights to and from Kangaroo Island, including bringing health professionals across to provide care on the Island and helping local residents travel to the mainland when they need specialist treatment that isn’t available closer to home.
Keeping Kangaroo Island connected
Angel Flight began flying health professionals to Kangaroo Island in 2024, and the service has quickly become an important part of what we do in South Australia.
Since the program began, around 400 flights have been completed for health professionals travelling to the Island. Add in the flights helping Kangaroo Island residents reach medical appointments on the mainland, and that number approximately doubles.
That’s a lot of time in the air and a lot of kilometres that patients and health professionals haven’t had to navigate alone.
One of the familiar faces behind many of these flights is South Australian volunteer pilot Owen Crees, who recently celebrated an incredible milestone of more than 600 Angel Flight missions.
Owen’s commitment, together with the support of our volunteer pilots and Earth Angels, makes services like our Kangaroo Island flights possible.
